I had seen him out and about quite often. It seemed he was always the center of a crowd, telling stories and making everyone laugh. He wasn’t really my type. I never sat out a song and he never stepped on the dance floor. He looked like an eccentric professor and I hated every day of high school. He was quite a bit older. I was intrigued. I had a mutual friend introduce us.
Apparently he was not impressed because he never paid attention to me. I was lucky if he said, “Hi”. Then one night he had a hot air balloon pin on his lapel and I asked him about it. FINALLY, the ice was broken, he got all excited talking about his love of ballooning.
Two years later we were married. Twenty-nine years later he is a retired college chemistry professor, we’ve raised four great kids and we are expecting our second grandchild!!!
Happy Anniversary Johnny!!!
You never know, the guy that’s not your type just might be Mr. Right.
Peace, Love & Joy,
Joyce

Hi Anne,
Some times it’s hard to follow through on that commitment, but I think that most people give up way too easily on their relationship. Thanks for your loving support & prayers for me during the rough times! And for sharing in our joy during the good times!
Peace, Love & Joy,
Joyce

sweet posting. Thru better, for worse, thru richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health…. every day, those words are said with good intentions, but few are those who can stay committed thru the years. Congratulations!!!!
