Getting to Know Me!

I want to be your essential oils educator, but you might like to get to know me first!

2013 was the year of hospitals being our home-away-from-home. My husband, Johnny, had three major surgeries then I had major surgery for cancer. Testing of the tumor later showed that research had proven this cancer was linked to birth control pills I had taken for 2.5 years back in my early 20’s. Scary that I prescription I took more than 30 years earlier could have killed me!

When 2013 was finally over, our 2014 New Year’s Resolution was to find a more natural way to support our physical and emotional health issues.

We spent months researching a healthier approach. My husband is a retired college chemistry professor, and he was impressed with the world-wide scientific research on the benefits of essential oils.

Next we spent a couple months researching essential oil companies. We wanted to find the best, purest, therapeutic oils available. We were impressed with Young Living’s Seed to Seal Guarantee and Promise. In July 2014, we finally ordered our first diffuser and essential oils.

Our lives have dramatically improved since we started using Young Living essential oils!!! I’m thrilled that we’ve found natural solutions to support our physical and emotional health. I love that I no longer have to deal with the side effects, or worry about the long-term risks, of the 16 prescription pills + multiple over-the-counter meds I used to take every single day, including some that I had been taking since I was a teenager!!!

I love sharing the oils with everybody! I often find myself telling friends and total strangers, “There’s an oil for that!”

I truly believe essential oils can help everyone have a calmer, happier, healthier life!!!

I’ve discovered that I have a passion for educating people about safely & properly using essential oils to reap their maximum benefits!

I love sharing how essential oils can support your health and I want to be your essential oils educator!

Since 2015, I’ve taught over 350 Make & Take workshops and essential oils classes, including online classes, public & private in-person classes, and a 10 week (20 hours) essential oil course each semester at John A Logan College

I have also been a Guest Speaker and/or taught break-out sessions at events like Autism Society Southern Illinois, Southern Illinois Women’s Health Conference, Saluki Con, JALC Faculty Development Seminar, and many more!

Contact me to speak at your event on how essential oils can support a wide variety of health issues. I am also available for one-on-one consultations.

Sharing the love, one drop at a time!

My other passion would be the arts! I have enjoyed many fine arts & crafts, such as watercolor painting, stained glass, beaded jewelry, photography, textile & fiber arts, quilting, pottery (I was terrible at pottery), calligraphy & card making. I really enjoy making cards! I love that in just a short time you’ve created a little work of art, and when you share that with your family & friends, it brings them so much joy! I’m most proud of when I was a silversmith at Allen Stuck Studio, and the ten years that I was the Director of the Marlow Art Gallery.

My true passion is my family!!! I come from a large family. My Mom & Dad are the absolute greatest. I have two brothers and four sisters that I love and adore!!! We have the most fun when we’re all together for Granny Days and holidays!

My husband and I have four children: Jill, Jeff, Jolene & Angie, plus two Grandchildren. I’m so proud of all of them! They bring me such joy!!! You can read about my family life in the Welcome to the World of Peace, Love and Joyce! post.

Thank you so much for taking the time to get to know me! I’m so excited that you’re letting me share my passions with you!!! I hope that I’ll inspire you to be more creative and to live a healthier life!!!

Wishing you Peace, Love and Joy today and always!!!

Joyce
