Frustrated with Young Living’s Essential Rewards Program?

Earlier this week I had a customer call with frustrations about her Essential Rewards membership. I totally understood her frustrations, because I had the same concerns at one time too.

I’ve found that Young Living’s answers to most ER concerns are pretty consistent with every rewards program that I’m personally a member of. (Best Buy, Staples, Audible Books, Panera, Chili’s, etc.).

I can’t decide what to use my Reward Points on.

We have soooooooo many amazing essential oils and products available that it can be absolutely overwhelming! Know that I’m ALWAYS here to discuss your questions about oils and products. I’ll be glad to make recommendations based on your health issues.

Why aren’t all oils and products eligible to redeem with Reward Points?

Every item that has a little purple “flag” beside it is Rewards Points eligible. The majority of oils and products are eligible to redeem with Reward Points.

But yes, there are a few restrictions. You cannot redeem Reward Points on diffusers, Starter Kits, Seedlings line, and some other items that are restricted. Usually, when a new product is introduced you cannot redeem Reward Points on them for at least the first 6-12 months. When an essential oil can not be redeemed, it usually means it is limited quantity, or it’s very expensive and YL’s profit margin is so low that they can’t offer 25% back on it.

I’m frustrated because I can’t use my Reward Points to get the oils and products I’m wanting for free!

This an easy problem to solve! Let’s imagine you had Cool Azul Sports Gel (41pv) on your Essential Rewards order this month.

You wanted to use your reward points to get a free Ylang Ylang, (42pv) but found out it wasn’t eligible to be redeemed with points.

Simply place Ylang Ylang on your ER order, then redeem your Reward Points for the Cool Azul Sports Gel. It comes out the same as far as how much money you’re spending! My Grandpa used to have a saying, “Six of one, half-dozen of the other.”

WHY the heck do Reward Points expire?

You have 365 days to redeem your Reward Points before they expire. I’ve checked the other rewards programs I’m a member of, and in every one rewards expire anywhere from 1 to 12 months after they were earned.

With Krogers Reward, you earn fuel points one month, and they expire at the end of the following month! (And you have to have a minimum of 100 points before you can even start to redeem them!)

Last week I was at Panera and they said I had earned a free soup. I wasn’t hungry for soup so I ordered a sandwich. Last night I was hungry for soup, so I stopped by Panera, but the soup offer had expired. (Lesson learned: Next time go ahead and order the soup and put it in the fridge to eat later when you are hungry for soup.)

I’ve lost probably hundreds over the years in Staples Rewards because I forget to redeem them in time. This summer I had $25 in Staples Rewards that had expired two days earlier, and there was nothing the Manager could do about it.

I get a free book on Audible each month, but if I forget to download a book, it doesn’t carry over to the next month.

If you discover you’ve lost Reward Points that expired recently, call me and I’ll see if there is anything I can do to get them restored.

What if I cancel? Am I still eligible for my Reward Points?

Only active ER members can receive rewards. If you’re not loving your membership, please reach out to your Enroller, to me, or to Young Living’s award-winning Customer Service team to see what we can do to improve your experience using essential oils.

If you do decide to cancel your ER membership, be sure to redeem your Reward Points first or you will lose them.

Essential Reward Points are an amazing gift from YL!!!

I shop at Target frequently, but earn 0% on my purchases. I could save 5% on purchases, but ONLY if I get their Target credit card and we don’t do credit cards.

I buy milk and groceries at Farm Fresh….0% back.

I love that Kroger Rewards gives us 1 fuel point for every $1 we spend, excluding alcohol. 100 points equals 10 cents off per gallon. You can redeem fuel points on up to the maximum of 35 gallons. So that’s only $3.50 (3.5%) you’re saving on a tank of gas, yet I’m still really happy to get it because Kroger doesn’t have to give me anything!

Young Living is incredibly generous to their loyal customers!

I’ve not found any other rewards programs that come even close to the 25% back PLUS all the free oils and products I get on my Young Living Essential Rewards orders!!!
