Celebrate National Cookie Day with a Gingerbread House!

Today, December 4th, is National Cookie Day according to Suzy at The Daily Holiday Blog. When I saw the calendar, it made me remember one of my all-time favorite Christmas projects!!! I’m still upset with Stampin’ Up! that they retired the fabulous Scentsational Season stamp set and framelits after only one Christmas season!  I made several projects with them in 2012, and I still had tons of ideas that I planned to do this year….then Stampin’ Up! retired the set and I was soooooo disappointed!!! APPARENTLY MY HUSBAND CAN’T READ!!!

Yesterday we had a wonderful day at my Mom & Dad’s house.  When we got ready to leave my wonderful Mother, a/k/a Granny (the one with the “cute little ass”), sent home an assortment of her delicous Christmas cookies & breads. Notice the labels….they say “Joyce”.  Just “Joyce”.  Not “Joyce & John”.  Just “Joyce”. I was so honored when the Herrin City Library asked if they could use a photo of my watercolor painting of “The Gingerbread House” for their Christmas cards this year.  They are selling the cards as a fundraiser for the library.  You can purchase them at the library or contact them to order cards.
