I’ve never liked when artists try to put their personal spin on the National Anthem….until now! Madison Rising’s version is AWESOME!!!
I had not heard of Madison Rising until my brother shared their version of our National Anthem on Facebook today. The group set an initial goal to have one million views of “The Star Spangled Banner” by Election Day last year. On September 14, 2012, they reached that goal. “We hit our goal of one million views on the video on the morning of September 14th – the exact date Francis Scott Key wrote the original version 198 years ago,” said band manager, Richard Mgrdechian. “There’s something bigger at work here.” Now they’ve set a new goal.
Join me in taking the NEW Madison Rising Star Spangled Banner Challenge. Let’s show everyone that we still believe in this country and our National Anthem.
More about Madison Rising from their website:
“With songs ranging from the guitar heavy opening track “Right To Bear,” to the hauntingly epic sounds of “Honk If You Want Peace,” to the beautiful violins of “Hallowed Ground,” it is clear that this band is on a mission to not only make great music, but also send a message that American culture is alive and well. Madison Rising promotes the principles of liberty, independence, smaller government and personal responsibility.”
Help Madison Rising reach 5 million views by September 14, 2013 and let’s celebrate what being an American is all about!

I’m proud to be an American. Our country is not perfect, but it is awesome!
