Black Friday Shopping Tips

Let’s chat about Black Friday and Cyber Monday. These days historically have been HUGE for Young Living. They break sales records left and right.

But, these amazing sales sometimes cause, as Sir Topham Hatt would say to Thomas the Train, “confusion and delay”.

We have such an amazing shipping department and they work so hard during this time. However, they can only work as fast as the machines and trucks will let them. Because of this, shipping can get delayed, especially if you use non-expedited shipping.

So here are some tips to make sure you not only get your stuff on time, but have a positive mindset through it.

1 – Be patient – Order on these days knowing full well it might take extra time to get your order. If you set your expectations there it helps the frustration level. I am not saying to have low expectations, but to acknowledge the reality of shipping during the busiest time of the year.

2 – Budget for expedited shipping – Orders placed with 3 day or less shipping, or YL GO+, will be processed first. Any orders with the 5-10 day shipping option will be processed last.

3 – Order ER orders at the beginning of the month. Black Friday and Cyber Monday are Quick Order only days. If you order your ER at the beginning of the month it will help them focus on the special orders coming in on these days.

4 – Understand the shipping process – Black Friday is a Friday (I know, duh). Being that, unless the orders have expedited shipping, they will not even begin to process until the following business day which is Monday. From there it is 1-2 business days to complete processing the order before it is sent to shipping. So, you are looking at Wednesday at the earliest for orders to be processed and shipped, unless you chose expedited shipping. It could be more or less. It really depends on how many orders come in.

Knowing facts can help our mindsets stay positive and make our holiday season even better.
