CELEBRATE THE IDES OF MARCH WITH A PLEASANT POPPIES CARD

Today, March 15th, is the Ides of March. The Ides of March is the first day of the Roman New Year. It also marks the first day of spring in the Roman calendar!

And what a glorious spring day it was! We visited historic downtown Paducah and had lunch in the garden at jP’s Bar & Grill at Market House Square. The singing of the birds, the splashing of the water fountain, and the lovely breeze provided us with a beautiful soundtrack for our meal. The sunshine felt like heaven and I was LOVING it so much that I didn’t even care if the food was good or not!!! (Luckily the food was as wonderful as the setting.)

I really enjoy visiting Paducah. There are so many wonderful places to explore. Beautiful historic neighborhoods; art galleries; museums, including the world reknowned National Quilt Museum; fabulous one-of-a-kind stores, one of our favorites is “Creatures of Habit”; antique stores, bakeries, coffee houses, fabulous restaurants, great theater and so much more!!!

What is your favorite thing to do on a beautiful spring day?  Leave a comment below.  If you like this card, be sure to share it with your friends on Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter and other social media platforms!

I hope that your Ides of March was a beautiful day, filled with bird song, sunshine and…..

Peace, Love & Joy,

Joyce
