Saturday I woke up and it felt like spring: the sun was shining, the high for the day was 64 degrees, all was wonderful in the world…..then yesterday I woke up to 18 degrees and the world was covered in a sheet of ice. Not nice Mother Nature!!!
Yesterday was my husband 70th birthday! Happy Birthday Johnny! He is my biggest fan and is so supportive of all the time I spend Stampin’ Up! I had a card design all planned out in my head that used Stampin’ Up!’s new Honeycomb embossing folder because it reminds me of a molecular structure and he is a retired college chemistry professor. Cute idea, huh? But when I woke up to the icy morning I was inspired by Mother Nature to go in a totally different direction.
Out came my beloved and much used “Lovely as a Tree” stamp set. If Stampin’ Up! ever retires this collection I will have to deal with the 5 stages of grief!!!

I spread a very thin layer of Dazzling Details in the tree branches, it makes them look like they are covered in ice! I then spread a thick layer of Dazzling Details on the ground and I love how it makes it look like the snow drifts outside my window!
Of course he loved it, I told you, he’s my biggest fan! He thinks every card I make is great. I’m telling you, it’s really nice having someone like that on your cheering squad!

Actually, I thought about using ***** in the title, that’s pretty much how I was feeling about her, but substituted another 5 letter word because Angie thought some readers might be offended.
