Saturday I woke up and it felt like spring: the sun was shining, the high for the day was 64 degrees, all was wonderful in the world…..then yesterday I woke up to 18 degrees and the world was covered in a sheet of ice.  Not nice Mother Nature!!! The first big snow storm of the winter started early on Christmas evening.  They were forecasting a blizzard and we woke up to a winter wonderland the day after Christmas!  I was really excited, it was sooooo beautiful…. ….and then reality struck.  Not only was it COLD, a dirty 4-letter word in my opinion, but the snow was deep, which meant it would be a scary drive to celebrate Christmas with the other side of our family. Yesterday we had a wonderful day at my Mom & Dad’s house.  When we got ready to leave my wonderful Mother, a/k/a Granny (the one with the “cute little ass”), sent home an assortment of her delicous Christmas cookies & breads.
