Today, December 4th, is National Cookie Day according to Suzy at The Daily Holiday Blog. When I saw the calendar, it made me remember one of my all-time favorite Christmas projects!!!   The November Paper Pumpkin kit was the ABSOLUTE BEST kit since I’ve joined Paper Pumpkin back in August!!!  I loved this kit and made one of the cards exactly as featured on the packaging, it’s even cuter in real life than in the photo….but of course….I wanted to see what else could be done with the kit’s contents so I made several more projects!  My favorite project was the cover for my iPhone! Yesterday we had a wonderful day at my Mom & Dad’s house.  When we got ready to leave my wonderful Mother, a/k/a Granny (the one with the “cute little ass”), sent home an assortment of her delicous Christmas cookies & breads. Notice the labels….they say “Joyce”.  Just “Joyce”.  Not “Joyce & John”.  Just “Joyce”. Last week, I hosted my 2nd Annual “I’m Dreaming of a PINK Christmas” event in honor of my beloved Mother, Louise Mileur, who is celebrating her 20th year as a Breast Cancer Survivor!!!   Unfortunately, she ended up being sick and wasn’t able to attend the event. My baby sister, Monique, is a Pre-K teacher at a really cool private school.  It’s one of the few schools left anywhere that lets their kids celebrate Halloween!  It’s not just the last half hour of the day in the classroom either, it’s the whole afternoon and the entire school is involved with all kinds of games and activities.  The local t.v. station comes every year to film their costume parade! This stair-step card was inspired by Beth Rank’s design.  I made just a couple of minor changes. I just love Halloween!!!  I’m the house with the bubble & fog machines at the front door and the “Welcome” mat that makes scary noises when you step on it.  All the neighborhood kids know that as far as I’m concerned there is no such a thing as being “too old” to trick-or-treat.  I don’t even understand why the community has an age limit for trick-or-treaters.  If you are 13, 18, or even 35 years old, and you still think its fun to Continue Reading →
