Today is National “Ride the Wind” Day according to the Daily Holiday blog.   I would love to “ride the wind” today in a hot-air balloon!  My husband and I used to own a hot-air balloon with friends, the balloon’s name was “Sunbow”.   Then we all started having kids.  Have you ever tried to get a two-year old up at 4:30 a.m. so you could be at the field and ready for take-off when the sun rises? How a Hot Air Balloon Lapel Pin Led to Marriage

Today my husband and I celebrate our anniversary.  If it hadn’t been for a hot air balloon lapel pin it may never have happened. I had seen him out and about quite often. It seemed he was always the center of a crowd, telling stories and making everyone laugh. He wasn’t really my type. I never sat out a song and he never stepped on the dance floor.
