When I was researching for the Essential Oils 101 class that I teach for John A. Logan College, one of the subjects I wanted to present was about toxins in our personal hygiene products and how to find all-natural, non-toxic solutions. One of the shocking things I discovered was that there are particles of plastic added to my family’s favorite toothpaste.  Yes, little balls of plastic!!!  According to Crest, polyethylene plastic is in your toothpaste for decorative purposes only. SAFE & Effective Foaming Hand Soap!!!

When I was researching for the “Non-Toxic Life & Home” segments of the “Essential Oils 101” class that I teach through John A. Logan College, I discovered the dangers of triclosan in hand soaps, toothpaste and other personal care products. It completely freaked me out!!!  I immediately threw out the anti-bacterial hand soaps, toothpastes and other products in our home and replaced them with all-natural products!!! I was out walking this morning and the neighborhood was sooooooo quiet. I got to thinking about how sorry I feel for kids nowadays. It’s still summer and they’re already back in school. Each year it seems like their school year is starting earlier and earlier.When I was young school didn’t start until after Labor Day. (Wow, when did I get old enough to start using the “When I was young…” phrase!!! Haha!!!)
