A QUILTING BEE….WHO KNEW BEES COULD QUILT!!!

Image (c) Stampin’ Up! When I was a little girl, I remember the old ladies at church talking about going to a quilting bee.  I never understood why they would want to do that, I was scared of bees!!! (That’s actually a true story!!! Remember how literally you took everything when you were a child?!?!?!) I immediately fell in LOVE with this precious card the very first time I turned to page 3 in Stampin’ Up!’s new 2013 Spring Catalog. I had to have everything so I could make this one, it’s just soooo cute!!! My card is almost an exact CASE of Continue Reading →

Unknown Blessings, Thanksgiving Table Setting

Unknown Blessings, Thanksgiving Table Setting Image (c) Stampin’ Up! I love for the dining table to be beautiful, so I think this place setting that is featured on the mydigitalstudio.net blog is fabulous! (Confession:  I don’t like to cook unless I’m sure the end result is going to look pretty enough that my guests want to take a picture!  It may not be fit to eat, but you can bet it looks like it should be in a foodie magazine.  My presentation of the turkey would make Martha Stewart jealous!  Ha ha!) The designer of this table setting, Sara Brook, from Stampin’ Up!’s My Continue Reading →

Orchard Harvest Scarecrow Gift / Treat Bag

Orchard Harvest Scarecrow Gift Bag Images (c) Stampin’ Up! Is this not just the most adorable Scarecrow you’ve ever seen?!?!?! I first saw him on Frenchie’s website and I asked for permission to CASE him, which she so kindly gave!  Since then I’ve seen various versions of him.  Gail Murray used him on her fabulous fall scrapbooking layout and Rae Harper’s is really cute, too!   That’s where I got the idea for the cute Spice Cake fabric bow. Images (c) Stampin’ Up! I love his “wonky” eyes!  I can’t wait until this afternoon to share him with my Stampin’ Continue Reading →

Update on Breast Cancer Awareness Stamp Camp

Last week, I hosted my 2nd Annual “I’m Dreaming of a PINK Christmas” event in honor of my beloved Mother, Louise Mileur, who is celebrating her 20th year as a Breast Cancer Survivor!!!   Unfortunately, she ended up being sick and wasn’t able to attend the event. I shared two of the cards that we made in the October 25th post titled “I’m Dreaming of a PINK Christmas”.  (The little snow-woman purse didn’t make the final cut after all.)  I wanted to share the other two cards that we made at the Breast Cancer Awareness events. I think this first Continue Reading →

I’M DREAMING OF A PINK CHRISTMAS, Breast Cancer Awareness Stamp Camp

I’m getting excited about the Breast Cancer Awareness Stamp Camp that is scheduled for next week.  This is my 2nd Annual “I’m Dreaming of a PINK Christmas” event and it is in honor of my beloved Mother, Louise Mileur, who is celebrating her 20th year as a Breast Cancer Survivor!!!  Be sure to look at the previous post “Breast Cancer Awareness Stamp Camp”, posted 10/12/2012, to get more info on this event. I’ve been trying to decide on cards for the event and so far I have two that I’m loving.  My first one was inspired by Nina Dee on Stampin’ Connection. Continue Reading →

FOR THOSE THIRSTY GHOULS Halloween Party Ideas

My baby sister, Monique, is a Pre-K teacher at a really cool private school.  It’s one of the few schools left anywhere that lets their kids celebrate Halloween!  It’s not just the last half hour of the day in the classroom either, it’s the whole afternoon and the entire school is involved with all kinds of games and activities.  The local t.v. station comes every year to film their costume parade! At our recent stamp camp we were making all kinds of treat holders.  She wanted to make something special, but she knew the kids would already be getting a Continue Reading →

FREE Festive Paper-Piercing Pack from Stampin’ Up!

One week left to get the FREE Festive Paper-Piercing Pack!!!  See “The Fine Print” below. Here are three cards that I’ve made using this set.  The first one is my favorite.  I love the shimmer of the Silver Glimmer paper and I think the pearls add an elegant touch.  I’ve used the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder on the Very Vanilla background.  The sentiment is from Petite Pairs and it was punched out with the Modern Label punch. On the second card I used the pine tree from Lovely as a Tree to make the branches.  By stamping the image 2 – 3 times before re-inking you get Continue Reading →

NO TRICKS, JUST TREATS!

This stair-step card was inspired by Beth Rank’s design.  I made just a couple of minor changes. I just love Halloween!!!  I’m the house with the bubble & fog machines at the front door and the “Welcome” mat that makes scary noises when you step on it.  All the neighborhood kids know that as far as I’m concerned there is no such a thing as being “too old” to trick-or-treat.  I don’t even understand why the community has an age limit for trick-or-treaters.  If you are 13, 18, or even 35 years old, and you still think its fun to Continue Reading →
