Celebrate National Cookie Day with a Gingerbread House!

Today, December 4th, is National Cookie Day according to Suzy at The Daily Holiday Blog. When I saw the calendar, it made me remember one of my all-time favorite Christmas projects!!! I’m still upset with Stampin’ Up! that they retired the fabulous Scentsational Season stamp set and framelits after only one Christmas season!  I made several projects with them in 2012, and I still had tons of ideas that I planned to do this year….then Stampin’ Up! retired the set and I was soooooo disappointed!!! I’ve added a link to the tutorial for the Gingerbread House, just in case you Continue Reading →

“Noel” November 2013 Paper Pumpkin Craft Kit from Stampin’ Up!

The November Paper Pumpkin kit was the ABSOLUTE BEST kit since I’ve joined Paper Pumpkin back in August!!!  I loved this kit and made one of the cards exactly as featured on the packaging, it’s even cuter in real life than in the photo….but of course….I wanted to see what else could be done with the kit’s contents so I made several more projects!  My favorite project was the cover for my iPhone! I love to change the design on my iPhone to match the holidays! I’ve had lots of people ask me where I got my fabulous iPhone Continue Reading →

Lucky You on St. Patrick’s Day!

Everyone wishes that they were lucky enough to be just a wee bit Irish on St. Patrick’s Day! Fortunately, the Irish generously share their holiday with all of us! I remember when we were little and everyone would show up to school wearing something green so we wouldn’t get pinched. Do kids still do that? If you like to decorate for every holiday then you are in luck! Now you can download Stampin’ Up!’s exclusive “Lucky You” ensemble to print out decorations. Bring some luck o’ the Irish to your classroom or home this year! By Sara Wyman, Stampin’ Up! Continue Reading →

GREAT MINDS THINK ALIKE!!! More Amore for Valentine’s Day

Sunday afternoon I spent several hours in my craft room (a/k/a our dining room) working on projects for my February stamp camps.  I was all excited about this little tic-tac holder I had designed. It has everything you want for Valentine’s Day: hearts, candy, flowers and bling, all tied up in one adorable little package. Image (c) Stampin’ Up! More Amore Tic Tac Holder Then Monday night I got an email from my Best Friend Jan.  She said, “Check out Stampin Pretty’s card today using DSP More Amore & Pool Party Valentine. (Very nice!) Looks like it would be fairly easy Continue Reading →

APPARENTLY MY HUSBAND CAN’T READ!!!

Yesterday we had a wonderful day at my Mom & Dad’s house.  When we got ready to leave my wonderful Mother, a/k/a Granny (the one with the “cute little ass”), sent home an assortment of her delicous Christmas cookies & breads. Notice the labels….they say “Joyce”.  Just “Joyce”.  Not “Joyce & John”.  Just “Joyce”. My Mother didn’t mean to neglect Johnny, she knew that I would share because that’s the way she raised me…BUT…apparently my Husband CAN’T READ and he thought they said “John”.  Just “John”.  Not “John & Joyce”.  Just “John”. Apparently HIS mother didn’t teach him to share because this morning, Continue Reading →

Orchard Harvest Scarecrow Gift / Treat Bag

Orchard Harvest Scarecrow Gift Bag Images (c) Stampin’ Up! Is this not just the most adorable Scarecrow you’ve ever seen?!?!?! I first saw him on Frenchie’s website and I asked for permission to CASE him, which she so kindly gave!  Since then I’ve seen various versions of him.  Gail Murray used him on her fabulous fall scrapbooking layout and Rae Harper’s is really cute, too!   That’s where I got the idea for the cute Spice Cake fabric bow. Images (c) Stampin’ Up! I love his “wonky” eyes!  I can’t wait until this afternoon to share him with my Stampin’ Continue Reading →

Update on Breast Cancer Awareness Stamp Camp

Last week, I hosted my 2nd Annual “I’m Dreaming of a PINK Christmas” event in honor of my beloved Mother, Louise Mileur, who is celebrating her 20th year as a Breast Cancer Survivor!!!   Unfortunately, she ended up being sick and wasn’t able to attend the event. I shared two of the cards that we made in the October 25th post titled “I’m Dreaming of a PINK Christmas”.  (The little snow-woman purse didn’t make the final cut after all.)  I wanted to share the other two cards that we made at the Breast Cancer Awareness events. I think this first Continue Reading →

I’M DREAMING OF A PINK CHRISTMAS, Breast Cancer Awareness Stamp Camp

I’m getting excited about the Breast Cancer Awareness Stamp Camp that is scheduled for next week.  This is my 2nd Annual “I’m Dreaming of a PINK Christmas” event and it is in honor of my beloved Mother, Louise Mileur, who is celebrating her 20th year as a Breast Cancer Survivor!!!  Be sure to look at the previous post “Breast Cancer Awareness Stamp Camp”, posted 10/12/2012, to get more info on this event. I’ve been trying to decide on cards for the event and so far I have two that I’m loving.  My first one was inspired by Nina Dee on Stampin’ Connection. Continue Reading →

FOR THOSE THIRSTY GHOULS Halloween Party Ideas

My baby sister, Monique, is a Pre-K teacher at a really cool private school.  It’s one of the few schools left anywhere that lets their kids celebrate Halloween!  It’s not just the last half hour of the day in the classroom either, it’s the whole afternoon and the entire school is involved with all kinds of games and activities.  The local t.v. station comes every year to film their costume parade! At our recent stamp camp we were making all kinds of treat holders.  She wanted to make something special, but she knew the kids would already be getting a Continue Reading →

NO TRICKS, JUST TREATS!

This stair-step card was inspired by Beth Rank’s design.  I made just a couple of minor changes. I just love Halloween!!!  I’m the house with the bubble & fog machines at the front door and the “Welcome” mat that makes scary noises when you step on it.  All the neighborhood kids know that as far as I’m concerned there is no such a thing as being “too old” to trick-or-treat.  I don’t even understand why the community has an age limit for trick-or-treaters.  If you are 13, 18, or even 35 years old, and you still think its fun to Continue Reading →

YUMMY GUMMIES SKELETON TREAT BOX

©Stampin’Up!™1990-2012 I just love this silly little witch from Stampin’ Up!’s “Googly Ghouls” stamp set.  We used her on this “Coffin” at our Halloween Themed stamp camp.  It’s a pop-up box that holds Yummy Gummies Graveyard candy skeletons.  Too funny! ©Stampin’Up!™1990-2012 Don’t you just love Halloween?!?!?!  I get so tickled seeing the little kids in their costumes. It brings back so many great memories of Trick-or-Treating when I was a kid.  Our town has a stupid rule about how old you can be to go out Trick-or-Treating, but the big “kids” know that  I’m a softy and that I’ll give them candy, Continue Reading →
