CELEBRATE THE IDES OF MARCH WITH A PLEASANT POPPIES CARD

Today, March 15th, is the Ides of March. The Ides of March is the first day of the Roman New Year. It also marks the first day of spring in the Roman calendar! This Pleasant Poppies card was CASE’d from Mike Funke. Image (c) Stampin’ Up! Download the step-by-step tutorial:  Pleasant Poppies, Mike Funke Design   And what a glorious spring day it was! Lucky You on St. Patrick’s Day!

Everyone wishes that they were lucky enough to be just a wee bit Irish on St. Patrick’s Day! Fortunately, the Irish generously share their holiday with all of us! I remember when we were little and everyone would show up to school wearing something green so we wouldn’t get pinched. Do kids still do that? If you like to decorate for every holiday then you are in luck! Now you can download Stampin’ Up!’s exclusive “Lucky You” ensemble to print out decorations. Bring some luck o’ the Irish to your classroom or home this year! By Sara Wyman, Stampin’ Up! Continue Reading →

“JENNY, I’ve Got Your Number” Feeling Sentimental Stamp Set

If you are over the age of 50, or you watch “Doctor Who”, you’ll know this card features a British telephone booth.  Designed in My Digital Studio, Images (c) Stampin’ Up! YIKES!!!  I just found out that cell phone numbers became public on March 1st. This means that all those annoying solicitors, the ones we’ve so happily avoided since we dropped our land-line phones, will again be calling us during dinner. Wonderful, just wonderful. To make matters worse, the minutes they use are deducted from your plan’s available minutes. To prevent this happening to you, call the National Do Not Continue Reading →

How a Hot Air Balloon Lapel Pin Led to Marriage

Today my husband and I celebrate our anniversary.  If it hadn’t been for a hot air balloon lapel pin it may never have happened. I had seen him out and about quite often. It seemed he was always the center of a crowd, telling stories and making everyone laugh. He wasn’t really my type. I never sat out a song and he never stepped on the dance floor. He looked like an eccentric professor and I hated every day of high school. He was quite a bit older.  I was intrigued. I had a mutual friend introduce us. Apparently he was not impressed because Continue Reading →

(That’s actually a true story!!! Remember how literally you took everything when you were a child?!?!?!) I immediately fell in LOVE with this precious card the very first time I turned to page 3 in Stampin’ Up!’s new 2013 Spring Catalog. I had to have everything so I could make this one, it’s just soooo cute!!! My card is almost an exact CASE of Continue Reading →
